The press freedom map offers a visual overview of the situation in each country and region in the 2021 World Press Freedom Index. The colour categories are assigned as follows: good (white), fairly good (yellow), problematic (orange), bad (red) and very bad (black).

1. Browse the website https://rsf.org/en/ranking# and find out what the map and index show and what kind of countries rank highest.  
(Help: Click on “presentation” + look at the ranking list.) 

2. Continue your web search. Find information about the situation in the UK and the US and fill in the grid. 
(Help: scroll down the “ranking 2021” list on the right and click on the country.) 

3. You are a member of Reporters Without Borders and you give a short lecture to a panel of fellow journalists about the press freedom 2021 map with a focus on the UK and the US.
